01 Cl500 Benz Pse Pump Not Work! Help

2001 CL500 BENZ
Exclamation 01 Cl500 Benz Pse Pump Not Work! Help

I JUST PICKED MY 2001 CL500 UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP TODAY, I TOOK IT IN BECAUSE MY BATTERY KEEP GOING DEAD, SOMETHING WAS DRAWING POWER FROM IT. THE BENZ TECH SAID THAT MY VACUUM PSE PUMP WAS BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE SAID TO MAKE SURE I SHUT MY DOOR REALLY HARD AND IT WILL SILL AND NOT DRAIN MY BATTERY. ITS A FIX FOR NOW BUT ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS WHERE TO BUY A CHEAP PSE PUMP OR ANY OTHER FIX! ALSO SINCE THE PSE DOESNT WORK MY DOOR LOCK WILL NOT LOCK OR MY TRUNK WILLNT OPEN UNLESS YOU USE THE KEY.THANKS

hi i had this as well if the remote worked the battery was ok in the morning. the battery was draining .6 of a amp after all the testing it was the rear sam unit not a big fix half an hour to fit cost about £220 in England.This unit will blow if you jump start the car wrong if your battery is dead conect the leads leave the other car running for 15 min before you start yours

Let me guess... The mirrors do not fold in either?! I had the exact same problem and when I changed the pump, everthing was fixed!

IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO GET BY WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE ON A PSE PUMP.

HI, THANKS FOR THE REPLY. WHAT IS THE REAR SAM UNIT AND WHERE IS IT LOCATED. IS IT SOMETHING I CAN CHECK FOR MYSELF?

IT CONTROLES THE POWER FOR THE REAR BLIND DOORS BOOTH AND WINDOWS HEAT FOR BACK WINDOW IT IS BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT IT HOLDS ALL THE FUSES

Similar Problems (?) on 03 CL600

My 03 CL600 will be fine sitting in my garage for a week, but if I leave it outside over night the battery is dead in the morning. It is cold here, so I first thought that the batterry was old and ready to be replaced, but it has happened even with a new battery.

The battery gets so low that the smart key can not unlock the car, or even turn the ignition when inserted. Once the battery is charged tough everything works fine, including doors, mirrors and rear shades. Does anybody have any thoughts?

It would appear that you have either a charging or battery drain (while the car is parked) problem. You can check the charging rate with a volt meter hooked to the battery and with the engine running, it should read approximately between 13.6 and 14.8 volts. Testing for a battery drain is considerably more complicated.
