Looking to buy a CL
Found my CL500 2004!

Just wanted to ask everyone, I'm lookin at an 04 with 31k on the clock. Black on Black, amg package. Navi, heat/cooled seats, Park sensors and whatever else comes with it, also tinted windows (Real *** Nice) looks gangster. I just wanted to get some input on this model year CL. Is it better then the pre 03 and earlier? How is the reliability on this one, like abc, elec. etc??? Please shed some light on this because I'm going to test drive it on Friday. One owner car, and lightly driven. Any info would help me as what should I look for and such. Thanks in advance.

I'd say if you're looking for "gangster" you're probably better off in the 300c.

The CLs model years from 04-06 are great vehicles. They hold their value but Im sure the depreciation on these cars have come down alot due to the new current models that are out now.

I know, I know, I was just kidding. I'm just really excited about this car. Forget the 300c, thats a piece of garbage if you ask me. No offense to anyone who has one. But over all, the o4-06 are pretty much bug free compared to the pre 03 and down? Thanks guys.

Any AMG Thats Around..
like any other car i would:

ck the a/c...
ck the blower motor for weird sounds under high and low speeds...
ck the service due date in the cluster...
eyeball the brake pads and rotors...
look at the tires, you can tell alot of a driver by tire wear...

i would put to on a lift and have the underpanels removed so i could see if there are any leaks from... suspension lines, tranny plug, trans pan, oil pan, steering rack, motor mounts... Those under panels can hold quite a bit of fluid.. just cause theres no drips on the driveway dont mean its not leakin..

and work the suspension up and down a few times!!!!......

This is a big investment... do the work before you buy, so you dont end up paying for it in the long run...
