2001 cl600 suspension issue!

okay, my 01 cl600 has 80k miles on it, the car is in mint condition, rides great and the ABC works perfect, it lowers and raises the car to the right points, however, when the car is parked for more than 30 min or so and i come out it is leaning towards the passanger side..but then when i lower or raise it it balances back out and drives perfect, no wierd noises or anything....do you think the struts are bad or shocks? is it something i should be really concerned about? any help would be appreciated, i just got the car a little bit ago and im a transfer from the honda world, i know everything about hondas and acuras, but im new to the european, benz world...thanks

Yes, I would be worried. Have the system conpletely flushed and a new filter installed. There is contamination in the system and it is causing the control block valves to stick open. If you don't fix the contamination, it will get worse and may knock out the pump over time and or cause more contamination.

"im a transfer from the honda world"

you're in for a rude awakening. you've purchased a wonderful car which will probably function correctly about 60% of the time. if you can afford the upkeep, the car is very cool. if you're worried about repair costs, get the current problem fixed and sell the car immediately.

Are you referring to the 600 or CL class in general?

He is referring to both. They are great cars, but repairs are expensive.

You can't hardly touch anything on that car for under a grand, let alone much more.

a fluid and filter change should be around 300-400 dollars. IF you need a new valve block, that is 1400 MSRP as of today and approx 5 hours to replace.

primarily the 600, but CL's in general don't have very good

track records. with the pre-03 600's, look for coil pack problems secondary to the cylinder shut down system, oil leaks, and electrical issues galore. i love mine . . . when it works.
