02 CL500 ABC Pump
Hi, I have a 02 CL500 I recently had my car serviced an was informed that I need to replace my ABC pump and it makes a noise. The ABC is still working correctly bu there is a message on the dash to visit workshop in regards of the ABC....do i need to get a new pump or just flush out the hydraulic fluid and change the filter? If I have to buy a new pump, are there any recommendations of where to get one other than the dealer?
Thanks for your advice/help!

Ugh, that's bad news. No, that's horrible news. Get ready to throw down around $3,000 for the pump change and fluid flush. I would have them flush multiple times because it will kill another pump if they don't get all the contamination out of the system.

I am having similar issues. I had the “Service ABC” message a few weeks ago. Long story short, there was a $1.50 gasket needing replaced with $400 in labor. (Yes, thank God I have an all inclusive extended warranty)
Ever since then, the power steering "groans" when turning. If I turn too fast, at slow speeds, the steering becomes resistive. However, this does not occur all of the time. Also, the car does not seem to rise up and down as fast when pressing the ABC leveling button (For lack of a better name).
No codes or messages.
Does this appear to be a weak pump?
I still have over 40 months and 41K miles of warranty. J
