Help: ID Color Please (Pics)

Hi,

I'm going to change the color from my silver CL500. There are a lot of other work like bumper, interior, rims etc.

I decided to change my CL in Black. The problem is, there are a lot of black colours, and some of them doesen't look good.

I want the black color like the CL in the following pic. Which color is it exactly and which code-number?

I don't think it's obisdian-black.

I would be very thankfull for any information and thanks in advance.

Best regards from germany

I think it has to be either one of those, or a custom color.

You could try emailing the company that made that car. MEC

If the paint is original, send me the VIN if you can and I'll look it up for you.

You should consider selling your Silver CL and find one in the colour you really want. A repaint will never be the same - and if it comes to selling the car lateron you might have to take a lot less than if it was original paint..Viel Glueck..

well, are you sure?

Because for me the color from the pics above look a bit like a grey-tone comes out a bit.

But on the other side, a lot of people told me that obsidian black metallic have a little greytone, greentone.

I'm just not sure, because I need really the exact code.

Thanks calgary.

But to sell my car is not a option. Because to find the CL in that color in the same price category as my silver CL is NOT possible. Black cars are much much more expensive here. I got a serious painter with a lot experience and proffessional equipment.

Its not a problem to color the car which color you ever want. You just need the code and the rest do the machine which mix up the color on the milligramm exact.

believe me, it looks 100% like the original MB painting. And its just about 1800 Euros.

If I want to sell the car one day, I think I'm going to get a better price than in silver. As I said before, black cars are wanted and much more valuable. 7 of 10 Cars you see here are Silver.

Thank you.

The VIN number is your Vehicle Identification Number. It is located on the windscreen, driver's side. With that code, we can determine the factory color of that vehicle.

Well, that car has been detailed, buffed and waxed within an inch of its life. So yeeeah, I think it's 197 Obsidian Black.
