W215 CL600
New Owner: 2003 CL600

Hey guys, I've been around here for quite some time but this is my first post here in the W215 forum. I purchased a 2003 CL600 w/ 29k miles today. I really didn't want to buy a new car until my CLK lease was up but this was a great deal and everything worked out perfectly.

Anyway, has K40 Radar/Laser Jammer, Lorinser wheels, Lorinser side sills, Navi, Parktronic, Electronic Truck Closer, Headed/Cooled Seats, Tint, etc. Pretty much exactly how I would have it besides a set of HRE's (which will come shortly).

I have owned just about all MB makes besides the CL and S-Classes, so this is something new for me. I will say, it's a gem of a car that rides so soft yet has the power (and then some) of my previous E55.

Coupe of iPhone pics for now...

Looks nice, but the HREs will look much better. It's also begging for a drop.

Welcome

Yea...those lorinser things are so ugly. I don't care how expensive they are.

Yeah, def needs a drop. I don't mind the side skirts so I'll probably just leave 'em on the car. I need to get a spoiler too. Anything else I'm not thinking of?

MBAMGPWR,
Congrats on the purchase; nice ride!

And welcome to the 215 forum. You'll soon realize it's less active here compared to the other forums on MBWorld, but a few of us here try to keep it lively and informative.

Enjoy the new ride and we'll see you around here!

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yeah, the W211 E55 forum I was previously in was always active but that's okay, I'm still enjoying the research and such that goes into getting a new ride. Just putting together an action plan for modding it.

Welp, did a couple of small mods today. Added the bluetooth puck (which works perfectly with my iPhone 3G - address book and all on screen), painted the side markers black and also painted the grille black (but left the chrome accents) instead of the dark gray color. Tomorrow, I'm installing lowering links and then I'll update with some pics.

Welcome to the forum. I have a '03 CL600 as well. I have 20" Brabus 3 piece rims and really like them. The rears are 285/30 and fronts are 255/35. Be sure you press the sport suspension button on the dash if you are going above 90 or around tight corners. It can be a bit too mushy. It handles incredibly though. Its a great car, you will have fun with her.

Is yours push to start? If not you might consider getting the V12 shift knob. Its a nice touch but hard to find. I got mine off the German eBay for about 30 bucks.

Also you may consider changing the license plate lights to the new bright white LED lights. You have to install a line conditioner so there will be no error message though. But its a pretty easy $10 upgrade that looks nice!

Good luck

Oh and people are pretty helpful around here
