The Mercedes OEM voice-control & phone system plus their bluetooth v60 puck may work with a 2000 CL500, but I doubt that it would be worth the $2K+. First try one of the <$100 bluetooth speaker phones for cars with your own mobile phone's voice control menu system and see how it goes. I've tried many of them and liked:

(They have a newer Supertooth 3 model available now)

Another option is the Argos module. It retails for about $750 and is pretty much plug-and-play. If you already have a phone system, you may be able to upgrade your cradle to a V60 type and then purchase the V60 Bluetooth puck from MB.

If you have the phone cradle- I will sell you my Bluetooth Adapter for $200.
It will allow you to use your cell phone with the integrated phone controls of the car also- but keep the phone in your pocket!

No AMG the razr cradle only works with 05+ vehicles. The normal bluetooth will work with it, but without the charging/linear compensator antenna booster.
You can get an oem setup which is not too expensive now since a lot of the prices have gone down you could also source the BT Cradle from ebay.
