Cracked Steering Wheel
My friend drives a 2003 CL500. He noticed today that there was a long, fine crack along the top wood part of the steering wheel.
How did this happen? Heat?
Is repair possible?

Doubt heat..probably impact. You can replace it. Or you can take it off, take it to a body shop/friend/wherever and have them wetsand and re clear coat it. Don't go to autozone

usually what we do
1 cover the leather portion completely
2 sand the wood clear coat, wipe with wet towel to see the crack there or not
3 clear coat 2 layers at least.
4 #2000 sand
5 was and polish with wool pad
60% can be fixed
