ABC problem on 02 cl500 pllllllllzzzzzz help :)

i have a 02 cl500 and i am having this problem when i leave the car for a while (4 hours or more approximately) i find it leaning from the right (front and rear but especially from rear) and when i put it to drive i feel the car being lifted by it self without using the lifting button..... i changed the sensor and the valve and i checked the fluid but same problem.... i heard that the pump may need to be replaced, but am really confused about paying big amount on a new pump cuz i till now payed enough
so plllllz any advice from someone had the same problem
and plllz be serious cuz if it's too much expensive am thinking of selling the car though i really like it but i can't afford fixing it.....

Thanks in advance

Was an ABC operational (RODEO) check done to determine that a new pump was needed?

If not, then first have an ABC fluid flush and RODEO done and see if that helps.

Flush out the old fluid and put in 10 litres new fluid.

If you did a rodeo check, you'd remember as it can only be done at the dealer on the STAR DAS.

This sound like either a valve block or the pump failing. Is the pump continuously running.

If you can't afford to fix this problem, this may not be the car for you.

No matter how cheap these cars are to buy, due to depreciation, they still are $100K + cars, with expensive service costs.

I just had the same problem with my car about 3 months ago. I started with the ABC flush, that didn't work. Next is the valve block and then pump.
Total cost with labor about $3000+. Now ts works great!

all 4 wheels strut drop like dat?

Check List.

1st: Very important that your abc/ps fluid resevoir is up to level..

2nd: check visual leak on all strut.

one or all your strut leaking? can you see any visual leaks around the strut?

if not sound like you need front and rear valve block.

flushing system not going to help because your car obviously drop dramaticly within 4hrs...

flushing/rodeo bullcrap.. is not going to help.

it make sense if when you have a slow internal leak(no visible strut leak) ..possible the valve not close properly due to stuck or not close completely...

front valve block locate left front behind front bumper each about $1500. plus labor.. ummm....$$$$ It should only takes 2hrs to do...

Rear valve is bottom rear....parts cost about the same.. and it takes 1hrs or less to replace..

you looking about 4-5k in repair bro...

unless you find a personal mechanic ...(if you in my area.i'll do it for you)

good luck...bro

hello i have a related problem, i replaced the tandem pump like 3 months ago then a couple of hoases and the cars suspension works well it lower raises perfect but the car is higher on the left side by 2 cm or less
its tilted all the time while driving, paked, on and off
do you think this is normal ?
do you think they just need to rest ride hight ?
does it sound like valve block ?

There are two things that affect ride height, the sensor and the values in the computer. If the car is never level, one of those is wrong. Possibly they bent the sensor arm when working on the car. Or possibly some coding was done through SDS when working on the car and the ride height values were messed with. Either way, you probably need someone with the SDS computer to check the values and then move on to check the sensors.

hello thank you for your help and reply, the car was reacently diagnosed with das star at benz and everything checked out fine ( abc check), but now that you mention my indi changed the arm trhusts do you think the sensor arm could have gotten bent during this ?

if so what are my options you think?

what else could it be besides the bent arm sensor.

thanks a million for your help and time.

ABC Problem 2001 CL500

ABC fluid leaking. Removed pump and found that the drum behind the pulley has cracks in it. Front seal seems OK. What can I do and is there a rebuild kit or parts available for this. I may be interested in one of those pumps you have for cheap.

If the pump checks out ok, it's the valve block.

Do not buy a rebuilt pump. Its a waste of money. Who knows how long it will last and the cost savings you will originally have will quickly vanish once it craps out and you have to install a new one. Just do it once.

I had a new pump fail after a few months. Thank goodness it was covered under their parts warranty.

Actually, this is an acquired car from a elderly aunt. Don't want to come off cheap, but the price tag of a new pump pretty much puts me out of the ball park. I have all the abilities to work on it, so maybe there is another option out there. Any help will be appreciated. Maybe a schematic or diagram of the pump.

Hello

I have a problem with my ABC as well, I just got my car like a month ago and it`s been sitting in my garage since then,I have started up my car a week ago and the drivers side has dropped down and the passenger stayed up

I do have the error message.....I will have my guy change the fluid over the weekend, but I`m sure it`s not going to solve my problem.

Anyone would know what went wrong? I would appreciate some help

Thank you

Valve block, pump, sensor etc... To many possibilities. Just get it checked out. It could be a $100 fix or a $3000 fix. You'll find out soon enough.
