CL65 AMG , white S550 Sport w/ white Giovanna 22s, wild custom chopper
headlight upgrade for 00-02 CL55
do the '03-'06 headlight assembly plug in to the 2001 CL55? Same wiring/harness plug or modification is required?

anyone done this upgrade?

I updated my 2002 and you'll need to buy a new wiring harness about $270 on ebay.

got it - do you have a part number by chance for the harness? how do you like the upgrade? worth it?

2009 SL550 Roadster Diamond White, 2008 CLK550 Coupe Obsidian Black
we have a 02 CL500 and just wanted to know what the advantage of upgrading the headlights to 03 - 06 are. I know with the W220 S class that you get the projectors and they are clear instead of that "old style" look. the 02 ones already have projectors and they are BiXenon as well, so are you just getting the autoleveling feature.

take a look at the 03-06 and you will see that the lenses are clear on the high beam, plus the project housing looks a lot nicer. Do an A/B comparison and let me know what you think.

yes, the high beam is clear also. and ya i see what you mean about projector housing looking nicer with the rings inside.
