ECM location on '02 Cl600
I just received a replacement ECM for my CL 600. This should be the final solution for my ABC light coming on. We hope!
Can somebody tell where this ECM is located in the car?
This looks like a simple enough procedure not to have to go to the shop. That, and I have to fly out on Monday for China so it be nice to have the car fixed.
I just do not know where to look?
Thanks for your help?

Well, the ECM is located in the left fuse box. Easy replacement.
My ABC issue is now resolved but my BAS/ESP issue remains. My ABS doesn't work.
Back to the shop.....

The ESP is giving me a hard time - all points to the Throttle Body - which is fine .. I open it and found that the Throttle control is a simple circuit.
Anyway - THE ABC is the one that controls the hydraulic suspension .. I decided to take it out .the whole and replace it with simple spring/struts on all wheels.. HANDLING IS not the same .. but it is nice to forget the issues.
I still don't get where you said the ECM module was .. when you say 'the left' fuse box .. is that the passenger side of an american drive?.. or the driver side?.. or .. are you looking from the front or the inside?
(the Mercedes mechanic said this car is a money pit .. but he doesn't know how nice it drives.

Howdy,
Your BAS/ESP could be related to a senor under your passenger back seat right behind you. If you lift the pad up it is the black sensor to the left side, if you were sitting back there it you be to your right. I forget what the number is maybe 44 or 55 something like that. Go to Pick a part and look for any other mercedes that had ABC and you will find your sensor in same place on that car. Also, could be related to vacuum leak with your brake hose, goes to the throttle body from the brake thing in front of you when you drive. Sorry for the lack of description, good pain meds...!
