Hi GURUS,Expoerts, I have a 2001 CL600 W215 having a very bad engine vibration, I have dont the below but still having the same vibration,
1. I have changed both coil packs,
2. Fuel filter.
3. sparks.
4. Air filter.
ALL NEW genuine parts,,

Actually when I have changed both coils, it ran fantastic for a week then became vibrating again, each time I disconnecting the battery it becoms very powerful without any vibration, but after driving for like 15 to 30 mins it become vibrating,

What makes it vibrating after sometime, little bit strange behaivior,

Please help me in what to do now to solve this issue, what should I do further,

Did you pull the codes? The codes will help alot.
Get a OBD scanner and get the error codes and let us know..

Could be Voltage transformer ? known as ignition module that sits on top of engine....I had to change mine in V-12 and now no issues...

Today I will provide the codes, hope this will help more, parts here in Dubai are very cheap the only this is to find the root cause

I have sent my car to MB certified workshot here in Dubai, after one day of checking the car, they have called me and told that the new coils are working fine, and they found the problem, its a very simple things causing the misfiring, I have to change the below part to get it running fine weith very high performance,
-some engine small air pipes.
-put some special sparks for this model, not the normal one.
-I have 2 injectors which are not working.
-also I have to change the 24 injector O-Ring seals.

Currenlty they are working on chaging the part, but I just want to know of such part may cause the misfiring and all car vibration???!!!

can any one tell me if this is true, any way this will not cost too much, here in dubai the cost will be around 1000 aed like around $250,

we always send are ferrari injectors out for flow testing and u will be suprised that 1 year old injectors can leak or be clogged. so who knows maybe a 6 year old car could have clogged injectors... the last 4 months i have been thinking of sending my injectors out

Sorry guys I was in a long vacation out of the country, havnt use my car for a long time now,

I have managed to get all the fault codes from the ECU using a simple reader, hope this will help to solve my car issue:

Hi again, got it solved now and running all the v12 fully:-)
and after spending a lot of money in changing coil packs and sparks and cleaning throats ...
I've been at good certified Mercedes service center and they have done the below...
1. They have diagnosed the issue and came to know its an oily sparks issue
2. Cleaned the sparks and tested, but again got oily,
3. They have removed the whole v12 engine outside and disassemble all the parts, they found most of the seals and gaskets were already gone, specially the HEAT EXCHANGER GASKET,
4. I got the whole engine cleaned by grinder and removed all the burnt oil, they called me to see it after, I thought it a brand new engine:-)
5. Got all the seals and gasket replaces and the rule injectors cleaned, the internal and external engine sensors as well,
After the assembly, they have called me to do a drive test, this is the first time I felt the power of the v12 on the cl600, really amazing, I have got the car and it running perfect now, no miss fire and limp mode again for long time now,

The coast came around 15k AED ($2500),
garage in UAE, DUBAI (Eurotech Auto Maintenance) EAM they are the best at all,,

Because of the bad heat exchanger gasket.. the evaporated oil is coming to the cylinders head instead of joining the engine oil again,, that's al, u have to check..

rbanna, what are the labor charges there? i would assume the parts prices are similar to the u.s. your costs are SUPER cheap!! love to know how they can do this.

Hi Biker,this price including the below new genuine parts and labor became $2800:

-Water bump
-Water expansion tank
-Water expansion tank cap
-W215 engine full gasket set including the cylinder heads one,
-AC gas.
-new 24 sparks + mobil oil 12 liters.
-Full intake air hoses,
-also front suspension pushes,

I mean if they want to make it cheap they will, my mechanic told me that he will disassemble the whole engine ( it became around 300 to 500 parts ) he have repaired whatever he could and the remaining bad parts he ordered, hes not just changing the parts,,

I have a detailed bill including all the parts price and labor, I will post it soon once got it scanned, u can see all the part in details,

I have checked the same parts on eBay found it very expensive up to double the price here,
