2003 CL500
Knocking noise ( Engine ? ) w215 w220
My car is a w215 2003 cl 500. After a 2 hour high way trip i noticed when i came to a stop i could hear a weird knocking noise coming from under the hood. When i accelerate it doesnt seem to be getting louder, its a constant noise, which seems to be coming from the front left of the car/engine. . It's hard to describe their for i made a video.

first i'd lubricate your belt pulleys and see if that effects the noise.

Low rpms
You only hear at low rpms and when i start accelerating the (knocking) noise becomes more frequent but still at low rpms. If i accelerate further you can no longer hear it. Thanks in advance.

2003 CL55 AMG
Check your idler/tensioner pulleys, especially the lower one on the drivers side of the engine.

They tend to go bad and break around 100k

So you don't think it's the abc pump ? Mine went bad last year, started leaking and I replaced it with a used one.

2002 CL500 to CL55 conversion
that is without a doubt the abc pump failing/running dry
