WTB: 02 CL500 (W215) 3rd Brake Light Cover
The red plastic 3rd brake light cover on my 02 CL500 fell off so I'm looking for a replacement. I just need the cover only. If anyone has a spare please PM me. Thank you.

Good luck! I and many others have the same issue. You have to buy the light assembly. Mine works fine and I am not ready to replace a perfectly good original part.
The plastic locking tabs on the backside of the lens break with age. I put a careful dab of clear silicone on each spot where the tabs where. I replaced and taped it down tight with 3m blue masking tape for 24 hours. Fits and looks like new. And will be easy to remove when it's time to replace the light module.

Luckily, it was on the floor in my garage so I used the foam 3M double-back tape & stuck it back up. Good as new. Thanks.

I tried the 3m trim tape first. But couldn't get the pieces small enough to allow a flush fit. If it doesn't fit flush, the lens won't seal fully.
