Boost gauge
Hello all,
I am looking for a video or good pics showing how to install a conventional boost gauge the m275 engine as I have an 06 cl600.
I read about just using any vacuum hose from the intake or something about drilling a hole somewhere on or by the intake?
The issue is hooking up the gauge so you can get the reading of both turbos.
I am not sure what vac hose to use that would show the gauge the boost from both turbos.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You should be able to find a vacuum hose on the intake manifold you can T into. I remember seeing one, just do not recall where. Pull off your engine cover and air boxes and you should find one. You want it downstream of the throttle body and it is only going to read total boost, not individual turbo output.
Or you can add an aeroforce interceptor gauge like I did and read it electronically.

The only way you'd get an accurate reading from one turbo is if the system was split, but it's not. So even if one turbo was barely working, the other one would spin harder and pressurize the intake tract until the wastegates opened, and you'd still see the same boost pressure at the throttle body and the system as a whole thanks to fluid dynamics.

Very nice Matt. I had a set of gauges in place of the ash tray on my old 83 745i for a while. Ended up needing more gauges, so put the ash tray back in, and installed them underneath of it. But, to do so, I had to add some burled walnut. Back when I just had two gauges and a boost controller, the ash tray worked well. It's not like I am ever going to smoke.
