CL55 AMG (m113 N/A) poor low rev torque/acceleration
Gentlemen, did somebody experience the same issue?
When I floor the accelerator from 0 mph there's totally no wheelspin and the acceleration is rather poor. Car starts running like it should from ~2000-2500 rpm. Then it accelerates absolutely well. I can even have a wheelspin (stabilization blinks) when flooring the accelerator on 2nd gear at 40 mph.
May be my 5gtronic is going to die soon? Will try to change the oil this weekend and make some performance tests.
Also I did try to reset the accelerator/gearbox adaptations. Runs better but still no wheelspin.

There have been many reports of w215 cl class and s class chassis w220 that don't seem to accelerate with full Power until 3000rpm or so , then the power fully kicks in and they take off
I don't think the solution has ever been posted

That's quite strange. I've driven one stock 215 (5.0 m113) that accelerated like devil. So I'm wondering what can be wrong with my AMG.

Tried 1 experiment today:
- disabled all the safety systems ABS, ESP, BAS (as I have a coilover suspension and can play with fuses)
- reset the accelerator/gearbox adaptations to factory default values
- put gearbox on D and floored the pedal
- ... TONS OF WHEELSPIN! My rear tires were totally burned
That was 1st run after adaptations reset. Then I've driven a little bit and have poor acceleration again.
Conclusions: this is not gearbox or throttle, most likely accelerator pedal.
Bought one used from w220 5.0 2001 and installed it. Unfortunately it appeared dead. Now I'm in search of another pedal - will replace it and try to burn the tires

I bought a used pedal too on ebay and it didn't solve it
maybe you should buy a new one, try it shortly and if it doesn't work, bring it back and get refund with some excuse
