frustrated 600
.
Anyone who has put in the s500 power steering pump had to modify the pulley
600 cars have a wider belt, a 500 pump doesn't just "bolt on".
Two of the 3 mounting bolts match up, you have to make a bracket for the 3rd one, and modify your lines as the 500 uses a different arrangement.
The info is on here, it's been done and posted with pictures and instructions.
. I have a 2004 CL600 with abc suspension. I have done a strutmaster conversion. is thier a regular p/s pump that i can swap for the tandom P/s pump. I can find a answer for every other model or car but not specifically for a 04 CL600. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME
Calm down buddy . We know exactly what you want to do - put a power steering pump from a s500 instead of the tandem pump on your cl600
The problem is your pulley on the cl600 tandem pump differs from the pulley on a s500/e500 power steering pump . As was stated above , this will require quite a bit of fabrication and modification . It had indeed been done before and it's posted in this forum. It's not plug n play
If your current cl600 tandem pump works for your power steering then leave it alone , if it failed and no longer provided power steering and you want plug n play , just buy a $260 cl600 tandem pump on Rockauto.com

everybody in this thread gives you the answer what you need

sad to see that fools like you drive these great cars......
thanks again for your help
You are the one who said in your first post
"I want to change the tandom pump out to a regular pump . the closest swap i have found is s500/e500. "
So I clearly replied to you that a ps pump from a s500 will not be plug and play , because the pulley is different . It will require fabrication to make a ps pump from a s500 or e500 pump fit on your cl600
When you learn how to read and how to spell tandem then come back . You have serious reading comprehension issues or are just an idiot

the conversion to a non-tandem pump is NOT plug & play
and not super easy either
at least not for Sunday amateurs

- You have CL600 215 '04
- Suspension is not ABC anymore (Strutmasters)
- Your ABC pump is no good
- Your question is "what is the best pump for non-ABC CL600 215 '04?"
THE ANSWER IS: buy new w220 S500 pump. It is the best option for your car.
BUT it is not just plug'n'play install as guys mentioned above. But it is still the best option.
Please tell me that it is clear now
