Differential Oil Question

Is there a big different between 80W90 & 85W90 differential oil? My 02 CL500 manual called out for 1.7 qt of 85W90 but I have plenty of 80W90. Is 85W90 thicker at start up? Would like to know what do you guys normally use? Thanks.

I see in EPC that it needs 1.7 quarts of 75W85

why would you risk that for 20$ ?
just go to MB and buy the right oil from them

My manual called out 1.7qt of 85W90 & looks like most people use 80W90 because the other is hard to find. Thanks
