215 CD changer help
My CD changer now shows "no magazine" on the center dash screen but clearly has one in it and properly installed. The green light on the player that indicates 'magazine eject" works but the magazine doesn't move. The 10 amp fuse on the
amplifier is OK. Any ideas? It is also irritating that the WIS doesn't easily give you any troubleshooting references in the entire file. Has someone located information in the workshop manual to at least test the changer?

Well our CD chargers are getting old and tired, this happens to me as well. What I do is press the eject button and tap pretty hard with my fingers the CD magazine until it ejects, then put it back in. Usually that temporarily fixes the problem.
The problem is the CD gets stuck somehow, once I had to remove the unite and dismantle it to get the cd out, but tapping usually works.
If when you try to eject you do not hear the mechanism, you might be screwed...

The plastic tap/mechanism inside your CD changer which is used to move the discs from the magazine in the trunk maybe broken (mine did). If that's the case, you'll need to buy a used one on eBay or at a salvage yard for ~ $50 then replace it. It's pretty easy to swap it out. Good luck.
