Gear selector lever module fault

Good morning, I write to you from Madrid and I have problems with the gear selector lever, I have removed the fault codes; P240C and P 1856 and I need to repair the electronics of the selector lever module, someone else did it, can you give me some guidance, some link, video?
Thanks-Matías.

very unfortunately this model of selector can nearly not be repaired
80% of the the module and car electronic repair guys refuse due to complexity of cards and layers inside
repairing it yourself is only in your Disney Dreams. you could only eventually repair a mechanical failure on the external section inside

this is not the worst. the worst is that it contains essential info for your car to start up. VIN and Mileage
if you replace it with one from another car your car will not start

there are only 5 solutions

1) get a IMMO OFF filter to apply on your EZS, then you can use any lever from any other car.

2) Find someone willing to repair it. good luck

3) find someone who sells a "virginized" used lever and activate it with DAS Xentry once on the car (easy, it will read car info and mileage from EZS )

4) Buy a used set from another car same model on ebay. you mus have: Keys, EZS, Lever, and engine ECU (cons: your info like vin and mileage will bet those from the donor car)

5 buy a new one from MB ( hahahaha $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)

another problem: don't forget that with solution 4, DO NOT EXPECT MB TO MAKE YOU ANY KEY AS YOU DO NOT OWN THE VIN IN THIS SETUP !
but you might find a locksmith....

You're right, I'm contacting a repair company ECU here, in Official Service only change the piece for a cost of € 1800.

Good morning to all, I have news about the repair, I contacted the Germans of the company ECU.DE and stopping the references of the gear selector module confirmed that repair is possible for a cost of 215€ but in the end I I found a person who is an electronic specialist and who repaired the same problem to several users of the Mercedes Spanish forum, everything would be easier and for less money (150€), in the absence of disassembly and sending I am waiting for my mechanic friend of the workshop to return On vacation, I will keep you informed..
Regards.

Hello, in the end the repair was easier than I thought, disassembling the entire central console for approximately an hour, removing the module and sending it to be repaired to an electronic technician, this was on Monday and Thursday I had it back, it works correctly and The cost was € 150.

My shifter just went out.
For item 4 - you say it has to be same model, so '04 CL500 has to be same year too, and does the ecu part number have to be exactly the same?

important here is the engine module
so the engine ecu should match same engine
about the years as the facelift happened end 2003 all donor cars, same engine, 2004, 2005 and 2006 should be fine
any doubt about the engine module ? send me your vin, and the engine ecu part number you want to buy and i'll check
