CL55 Rear ABC Struts on AMG package CL600

Hi All. nI need to replace my rear ABC struts on my CL600. They are wet and seem to bottom out easily when I hit bumps. No abc light. I rebuilt both front and rear blocks. Car stays up. Has all new *****

I'm considering getting used struts from a CL55 that look really good. Dry take outs from a conversion. Can the AMG struts be put into my regular BUT AMG sport package CL600?

AMG package looks like not to be AMG CL65 suspension at all
best way to find out is read the part number from your "amg" package CL600
MB scams a lot with AMG packages (often just a setting instead of different hardware)

Thank you very much! You are right it's an "AMG" faker package with the body kit. It does have the big brakes though. 2003. I do appreciate your help. I parked the CL for a few weeks. Something is rattling under the car and any little bump in the rear it feels like it's "bottoming out" with junk in the trunk Hope you and yours are well!

I didn't know if the REAL amg CL55 struts would work on my NOT real AMG CL600 REAR. Anyway. On another note you are awesome here on the forum. Thank you again for posting so much help.

sorry that you take it that way, was not ment to
but I would like to learn something as sometimes i'm wrong too
You also use to give very good info

so could you explain your post

To me, I would agree that the hydrolic part is the same but mayby not for the 65 AMG
but all these part numbers might hide small or big changes, and springs rates

Thanks guys. I have had a few hours with P on the WhatsApp so I get his style He is absolutely amazing with me helping me with my car. It's good to know the struts will fit. The other day after putting a few hundred miles on the car in one day I got some new noises.

Like a whirring sound from the back of the car almost the trunk area. Intermittent. Almost like a when a starter bendix doesn't engage and just spins. WHHIIRRRR. Muffled of course. My PSE has been giving me issues but Ive never heard it sound like that and don't think it's that. Car runs fine. No check engine lights. I do have a white BRAKE light on. I have been ignoring it:0 I'll be plugging it into the Star tomorrow if we don't get big rain from the storm.

Hope you guys are all great. I had an amazing ride on Friday. What a car. I was on the highway and it was smiles for miles. This car is so much smoother than the SL55 it's really a no brainer. The CL is all about highway domination and the sl is better for short runs. The cl is so quiet too. Save for the whirring I'm getting now
