CL500 Feeling Very Slow

Hey everyone! I wanted to ask you guys does your CL500 feel slow under 3.5k rpm because mine is very sluggish from a stand still if I mash the gas pedal it is so slow, slow as in other cars just driving normally could pass me, anyways I was also next to my friend in his 2016 c300 and that car pulls harder and just leaves my cl back, at higher speeds they are more even but from 20 mph to 60 his car is way faster both stock I have a straight pipe thats it. Do any of you guys feel the same with your car? (and I know its not supposed to be a fast car but its still a v8 merc it should have some kick to it) And if you guys can help me out maybe I could change something or I saw another post they said an ecu reset maybe? Thanks!!

Are you in "C" comfort or "S" sport setting ? This might help you, if you are in Sport setting.

Being pedantic, s is for standard.

I pulled the codes with my OBD 2 scanner (I have no cats)
p0106
p0305
p0307
p0410
p0432
p0422
p0300

The misfire codes could be from before I changed the spark plugs

can't tell like this but,
In Xentry Das you see whats going on immediately
If you work a lot on your car, you want to be able to upgrade your ecu's, code, retrofit and much more, forget those cheap scanners and forget chinese cracked Xentry

There are many choices for DAS/Xentry Diagnostics for MB.
Ensure you have the right information before getting one. There is too much misleading info.
I’m a forum member and programmer who’s learned the hard way. PM me if you have any questions.

Nothing. Everyone on the "other" website uses it without complaint.

Very soon I expect to have free, legally-distributable Star Diagnosis software available to anyone who requests it.

I think your next step is to determine whether or not this is the case.

I could be on the highway with this car and if I give it gas in a weird way it will misfire, it happens too if I rev too much a while after starting

This shouldn’t be a difficult problem to solve. The M113 engine is pretty ubiquitous and pretty bulletproof.
You should be able to find a solution pretty easily. I’d have a mechanic look at it tbh

If the misfire codes remain, then I would erase them and swap coils between misfiring cylinders and proper-running cylinders. If the misfire moves with a coil, then you have identified a faulty coil. If the misfires do not move, then I would repeat the swap but do so with the fuel injectors instead.

MB’s
Try a ECU tune. A TCU reset. Then get the engine serviced. The CL500 with 302bhp is quick enough. If you are that power hungry get a CL65 or CL55 and tune it lol

the misfire is so weird it does it when it wants to if I drive it normally let it warm up give it some full throttle, it works fine and nothing happens, at this point misfire is the least of my worries it happens very rarely the stuff I am worried about is the vibration at idle and the fact that the car is very very slow at lower rpms

Yeah ECU tune could help but they are 1k+ and I got this car for 2k so not sure how I feel about that and what is a TCU reset? yes eventually I will get a CL55 or CL65 if I can find one, I have a bmw thats my go fast car but I really thought the cl500 had more power in it, which it does just not mine, another 2002 CL500 owner drove my car the other day and he said it feels super slow

You can get an ECU tune for 500~ but it won't make it perform like an AMG.

I bet you have a vacuum leak, clogged cats, etc.

Need to diagnose it.

If you aren’t going to troubleshoot it or take it to a mechanic start replacing parts.

fuel filter/pump. Injectors. Coils, wires. MAF etc.
all those could cause misfires and poor performance.
Id check fuel first
