CL55K Manual Transmission Conversion

CL55K Manual Transmission Swap
Hi I am in need of some help in converting my car from an automatic transmission into a manual transmission.
The reason behind this is my transmission has recently decided to blow leaving the car parked in my garage without any use. I have always wanted to have a manual W215 and saw the opportunity to do so. I have found several threads showing m113's having manual swapped transmissions on c's, clk's, e's, etc... but not one of them was a cl. The problem is being that it has not been done on a w215 before it is going to be a lot harder. I don't have much experience doing diy work so am going to need a lot of help in doing so. I do have a list of all the parts needed provided by a fellow member of the forum @dzmitry, but there are a lot different part numbers for the same part and don't know which would suit the w215 best. I am also afraid the programming part would be hard and could possibly trash the entire project since I have no prior experience using any of the software.

If you think you can do the mechanical side if the project, I'd still go for it. The only thing is what transmission do you plan on using, the only transmission that is a direct match is one out of a Chrysler crossfire but I don't believe it can handle the power a M113k makes. I know of a company that makes an adaptor for the bell housing to a BMW transmission but I've still never seen it done on the CL platform. Programing wise I think all you have to do is program it to be constantly in neutral and get rid of the rev limiter. But either way do as much research as you can, good luck.

I think he gave up. E55GreaseMonkey's word might be prophetic. Maybe he's secretly Tavarish lol

I've done it successfully. My 55k has been manual swapped going on 2 years now. There was a ton of trial and error involved, and it got expensive... quickly. Your parts list is good, but I recommend using kangaroo Clutch's max power offering for these cars if you're gonna stick with the NSG370 transmission (crossfire). I did CD00A from Nissan and some of the XF Motorsports adapter kit... but I'm at about 700 to the wheels and needed all the transmission strength I could get. For the electronics side of things, Mercedes Swap Shop has got you covered. EZ. It's a TCU and then I recommend getting his ECU tune as well, as he uses manual pedal maps and you get boost at all RPMs, not just the higher ones. If you're around stock power levels/lightly modified, I think you're fine with the NSG370, but it is unproven at high power levels to my knowledge... whereas you have a billion clutch options for the CD009- including twin disk, etc.
