Door Handle Button Not Working

Hi, my door handle button no longer works on the drivers side. I assume the button has failed but as you all know, on these cars surprises often happen. Has anyone else experienced this and what was done to fix it? Thanks for your replies. 2005 CL600.

If you have access to a DAS/Xentry system, it can test the button directly in the door control module.

Its worth troubleshooting that way first, there is a lot of disassembly to get the door handle in/out.

Is it that easy on the W215 though? I don't think so.

Yes, also this is not my issue. The video seems to be for the IR sensor. My issue is the button which locks the door. My keyfob works fine.
