Upgrade to AMG Quad Exhausts...

Hi,

I'm shortly receiving an '05 CL500 with the AMG Bodykit, but quite fancy the look of the CL55 AMG quad tips. Has anyone upgraded their CL500/600 to the Quad tip look?

Does the rear AMG bumper/fender have to be cut at all to make them fit?

I can't seem to find any aftermarket tips for the CL, like you can get for the S-Class, E-Class etc so I guess it's going to have to be a replacement with the whole CL55 tips, back box and muffler??

Any help appreciated!!

I am interested in Quad tips as well. They sell tips at Performance Products for everything except the CL. I wonder if a an exhaust shop can fix this problem.

Also, does anyone know where I can get clear turn signals for the CL.

I am sure that any reputable shop will be able to fit the SL, S or E-55 quad pipes to the CL.

From what I understand, you have to modify or change the rear bumper. The cutout in the 500 is made for a single outlet and you can't fit the dual outlet in there. I know a friend that did this and he changed the whole bumper. Its not cheap...

MAD MONEY. but a CL55 is a better solution since even if your car has an AMG body kit, quadding a regular CL would look a little weird. the bumper for the quad exhast DOES NOT flow with a regular AMG sport kit...it is meant for CL55 AMG kit (more aggressive)

wow, i didnt know there was a difference between a cl500 amg body kit and a cl55 amg body kit. what are the differences beside the exhaust cutouts?

The cut outs and the rear difuser... That's about it.

man, my brochure makes the CL500 sport look completely

different that the CL55 AMG. the CL55 has the honda-punk rule going for it: it looks faster so it must be.
