Cl550 Launch Announcement Usa
The first CL550's will be released for retail launch on 11/17/06
Base MSRP
CL550 $99,900 + Destination($775) + Gas Guzzler($1300)$101,975 base
CL600 $144,200 + Destination($775) + Gas Guzzler($2600)$147,675 base
We have a couple of CL550 at the port that should ship soon. I will be posting photo's when they arrive.

Yep. $147,675 vs. $132,875 for a 2006. Is that possible? The CL550 is about $4,500 more than a CL500 was, and the engine is a big upgrade (unlike the 600).

The W140 CL600 was $143,000 i think... and that was a 389bhp V12...
Then the price dropped to late 120s for the CL600 W215... and now back up again!

The equipment for both cars, compared to their predecessors, is much higher. For the V12, the CL600, like the S600, includes ALL equipment as standard. No matter what these cars are certainly not cheap.

The AMG package for the CL550 is $5,600. Assuming they offer the same for the CL600, that's $153,000 for a sport CL600. Pretty close to what a CL65 used to be.
I wonder what the new CL65 will cost? If it's like the W221 S65, you'll still have to add $6,000 or more in options to have all the CL600 goodies. It sounds like a loaded CL65 will be $200k in basic black. A Designo edition at $210k will give you the honor of losing what? -- 100k? -- at the first turn of the key. They'd better keep those cars rare. Those $85,000 used CL65s are the elephant in the room.

my roomate just picked a launch edition cl550 amg kit. it loooks so sexy. the msrp was 118, i think. it came with the night vision also which i didnt think they where gonna have on it. the car is awsome drives like a new s class, vey smooth. ill get piks up tomarrow. cant wait to see the cl65 come out. anyone know when thats comin

so all of the sudden a 100k car is so commong.
cls63, cl550, s550, mase q-porte, bmw 760li, the list goes on.
does anyone else think these cars are really overpriced.

Think about it - not to knock the brand............... but, a $153,000 Sport CL600 ................ for another $13,000 you can get a Bentley Continental GT with a 550bhp W12..............and its a BENTLEY!

Yeah ... but ... it's really a Phaeton!!! In that price range I'd go with an S or CL AMG.

The Bentley is just too ugly and has too many VW bits poking through, but it is still an awesome car in its own right, it just doesn't live up to the Bentley name, IMO.
