Mine is a CLS 63. Couldn't really justify the CL63's price tag. Although the interior of that car was designed by a supreme being. It's like heaven in there.

If you were planning to buy a CLS I would say wait till 2008 production since it will be due for a facelift anytime soon (2005-2008), However, since you are getting a CL I don't see any major changes at least for 3 to 4 years except for some additional options that might add to the price tag of the car.

One option, which I don’t think it is available yet in U.S for 2007 models, is the Parking Assistance Technology. I think it will be offered in the 2008 models as an option. Last but not least, if you order the car with the Parking A T you have to sacrifice the Rear View Monitor (Camera) since both options can’t be ordered together. Good Luck

I ordered an 07 CL550. I am due to pick up the car this week. According to my Netstar print out the car has both the rear view monitor and the Park assist. For some reason, the dealer had to specifically add the Park Assist accessory (229) as a separate line item

Florida Joe,

Here in United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) they sell the CL as a full option car. Anyway, when I was scanning the option list that my car supposed to come with I was shocked that the car doesn’t come with a rear view monitor, so I went to my salesman and asked him how come I am paying for a full option car that doesn’t come with a rear view monitor! He was surprised too, and then he responded that either it comes as a standard in the car or they forgot to include it in the order list. Later, he handed me a printout of the entire options in the CL line (CL500, which is CL550 in U.S, CL600, CL63) and showed me a part that says “PAT” can’t be ordered with conjunction of Rear View monitor.

I hope you are not confused between the Parking Assistance and Parking Assistance Technology.

Here is a link: http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm...nce-technology

By the way, Rear View monitor cost more than parking assistance technology.
