CPO Warranty not covering my dynamic seats!
Recently my driver side dynamic seat went completely inoperative. None of the lumbar was working and the dynamic seats werent as well.
After a day or so of the car sitting in the dealer getting "inspected", service rep gives me a call saying they are not covered and its a $1600 fix. What do you guys think? I feel like im being ripped off

He is right actually. Dealerships do not cover that. I remember my service rep told me that this is usually not covered under warranty but that they'll word it in a way such that warranty covers it after my cars driver side seat got stuck in the forward position. Talk to your service rep about it and he might pull some strings for you. Hope this helped

I just went thru the same ordeal 2 weeks ago. But I told the dealer no thanks. Strange as soon as I got my car back I turned on the dynamic seats and everything was fine. In the end the bladder probably just needed to be reattached.

I stand corrected I need a new bladder.

I have dd seats to and one of my bladers on my drivers seat is messed up too. Ya they told me back then too they're not covered the bladders. Also, since the seat has to be cut open and all and the leather restitched

Armadillo888, could you post up a picture of the service receipt that we could use to show the dealer? My passenger seat DD seat is starting to fail

It's been my experience that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. If you let them dick you around, they will. If you fight it, you'll usually get your way. I try to be assertive (not an a-hole) nice, but firm. Keep going up until you get what you want.

I got MBUSA to pay for a harmonic balancer that exploded on my C280 sport a number of years back. They tried to deny the claim b/c my car came from Canada, but it's the same damn balancer for all north american cars which had been recalled! It took me 2 months, but I got a check. The key is to bother those that don't get paid to talk to you.

So true, I've even had things out of warranty replaced at no charge. From DVD players to laptops, to cars. Not that I'm trying to get over, but if there's an issue that everyone on the Internet is complaining about (i.e. a defect) I don't want to hear "oh sorry you're out of warranty". Clearly there's a prob when everyone online is *****in' about it.

Hi guys, I have just made an attempt to replace a failed seat bolster on a 2007 W221 long after warranty and guess what - it has been successful. I guess it's a such a known fault they just don't refuse to replace it for free. OK free.. you only pay hour job but not the material. Sounds fair to me..

The bladder on the left side of the driver seat popped on my s550 and I took it to the dealer and was told that the CPO warranty does not cover it. I was quoted 1400 to replace without labor. So I asked why is the price so much to replace? And I was told that its not just the left side bag that they have to replace its the whole unit. Does any happen to know where I can order the bladder unit at a cheaper price so I can try to replace my bladder myself. Ooh and what is the name/number of the part.

It's exactly these jobs (codes from MB system):
0054101101 0,2hrs (short test)
0054065001 0,1hrs (service settings for maintaining stable on-board electric current)
0080105101 0,4hrs (post-install test)
0080418803 1,7hrs (remove and replace the multicontour seat)
and you bet they can have it done faster then these service database set times..
The multicontour seat costs about ±$600USD. Don't let your dealer rip you off.
