HELP!!!!!!!!! W216 CL600 WONT START
So my 2007 cl 600 had multiple cylinder missfire, brought it to my local european shop in mexico, they determined the driver side coil packs were bad and after testing them the car didnt start, proceded to replace the coil pack and car still wont start, i had both camshaft and crankshaft tested and both are ok, i have fuel pressure too and apparently injector signal is good as well (no real test to that other than I can hear the injectors pulsing) when we test the new coil packs we get a spark in all cylinders for about 3-4 seconds and then it cuts out, you then have to wait for a few minutes to try again because if you do it right away you get no spark whatsoever.
im using an autel maxiDAS scanner and I do not get any errors that would prevent the engine from starting, should I expect different results from the STAR DIAGNOSIS system from the dealer??? at this point im super depressed and dont know what to do now, any pointers????

Take it to the dealer. Their system is much more sophisticated than the MaxiDAS scanner.. I would venture to say that the coil pack your trying to replace could also be defective. One other thing to note, when a coil pack goes out they always replace, all the plugs on that bank. Your plugs could be fouled out.

It is Horse S**T. You need to find another dealer. Call MB customer service they will deal with the dealership. They take these matter seriously. I know for a fact that Mercedes will produce a part or get a part even if it isn't in production any longer. Their philosophy it to service all their vehicles for life. My mother has a 5K mile 1983 SL 560 and they still can get parts for the car and they service it as well. So, your 9 year old car is no different. If your coil pack was bad, possibly the new one could be as well. Also, they always change the spark plugs on the bank the coil goes bad because they usually foul if driven without being serviced immediately.

Did you find a solution to this? I have a 2002 CL600 under same circumstances, it was misfiring on all cylinders and i remove the coils to inspect them and i mount them back, but when i did this the car no longer started, i can open the key, change gears tun all lights on the car but it wont turn on the engine, i will not even engage the starter, i have like a year with the car like that lying in my garage and i have not been able to find a cause, i suspect the cause might be the defective coils but im not sure, did you find a solution?
