New to me CL 600
I just bought a 2014 CL600. It was on Bring a Trailer and I had the high bid today. I will post pictures when it gets here probably in a week or so. For now you can see the pictures on BAT.

Not the best pictures. I noticed that the suspension was still raised from the transport. Will get better pictures later with the car sitting at a normal level, pretty tired now. The car is in pretty nice shape. All four wheels need to be refinished. Spent the day clay baring, polishing with the orbital to get rid of water spots. Then a coat of torque mirror shine. I think it came out nice. Touched up a few nicks with dr. Color Chip.

Actually the winning bid was $46750. I’m still not sure about this car. I will have all four wheels refinished and I’ll have to use it some to see if it is a keeper. Any damage to the car was repaired so you you’ll never notice it. I can’t find any thing wrong with the exterior of the car, and I’m extremely picky. The last car I bought on BAT was a CLK63 Black Series last June that definitely is a keeper. I have put about 400 miles on it and will have it at Cars and Coffee at the Concours at Amelia.

Well bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I regret selling my 2014 CL600 with 12K miles. It was a Full Designo, a 1-1 of 55 built from 11-14. I kept it three year and bought an Edition 1 S Coupe, I love all the tech of the S but not the design as much. I actually made money on my sale but that was Aug of 2018 with 4 years left on an extended warranty. I never had to take it into the shop for a single issue. I LOVED the car!!!!!!!! You should have it tuned, you will think you have died and gone to heaven!!!!!!!!! I apologize, yes the I was wrong about the sale price. I also just bought a 2012, 30K mile,1 off full Designo CL550 in Mystic Red with Deep white leather and white Piano wood. It was the car I actually was going to buy when I bought the 600 in 2014 but the price on the 600 was so much better than the 550, that I couldn't pass it up. I had been looking for this car since I let it go and luckily the guy selling it only showed the picture of the front seat and I knew it had to be the car. When I clicked on the other pictures, sure enough it was the car I had been hunting down. I paid a premium but I'm so glad I did. I felt like I was home again. The S is great and all but the way I feel in the CL is just like a perfect fitting shoe for me. I've never had such a high miles car but man, it's like brand new. The guy that bought it drove it only 3,800 miles in 4 years and 8 months. He loved it like I would and actually asked me if I would sell it back to him. I said when I'm done in about 15 years of so. Keep your 600, you'll never find another like new V12 and now they are all wind up rubber band engines and not very attractive, (in my opinion). Congrats and keep us up-to-date on everything.

I like my CL600 but I also have four other Mercedes. I like them all. They are all different. My favorite car is my SL55. The e450 wagon is an all around great car. My wife’s CLK350 is a fun car to drive and she loves it. The CLK 63 Black Series is just a bad *** car. It is a track car for the street, and looks to be a good investment. Only thing wrong is that I have run out of garage space. So many nice cars so little space.

I don’t have anymore pictures of the CL. There are plenty pictures in the listing on Bring A Trailer from two weeks ago. I traded it in on an Aston Martin last Friday. It was a nice car but Aston Martin of Orlando had one of my dream cars.

Hi Brian. It really is a nice car. So you know how special your new car is, they only made 30 CL600 cars in 2014. Enjoy it it is a very good find and in really great condition. I just traded it because they had one of my dream cars. I have had three Aston Martins in the past and have been looking for a 2016 Aston Martin V8Vantage GTS Lux with a manual 6spd. They only made 100 GTS Vantages 50 were sport and 50 were lux. 70% is the normal take for the sportshift (automatic) so approximately 15 GTS lux with a 6spd manual.

Hi Gene - great to connect!.
Certainly understand your AM "compulsion"! That's a great find on your part! I'm really a British car guy and have restored several, including a 55 XK140 DHC and a Mk2 sedan, and have owned lots of others including a few e-Types, a 230SL and a 250SE. Still have a 2003 SL5400 and a 2006 CLS 500. Currently also have two XKRs - they were designed by Ian Callum who has some design responsibility for the Vantage, I think. Without doubt, the XKRs are strongest Jags I've driven - perfect docile until something more is required and then watch out - amazing torque, particularly on the XKR175!
it isn't often you can another kick at the can. I was a bidder on the BAT auction for the 600CL but dropped off towards the end. Kicked myself after the auction close and then spent a month afterwards tracking every available post-2006 CL on the continent. Luckily saw an AutoTrader "coming soon" ad on Sunday night that didn't have a picture. However, the stated mileage gave it away and I moved fast on Monday morning! It's one of the most beautiful cars I know and I count myself lucky to own such a great example. Thank you again!
Best - Brian

Congrats, you are a select few. There were less a lot less than 30 made in 2014 but most all of them were 040 black. Only 55 were built in the 4 year run of the refresh. Enjoy and take some good pictures for us. You will have many years of maintenance free driving!!!
