New to me CL 600

Not the best pictures. I noticed that the suspension was still raised from the transport. Will get better pictures later with the car sitting at a normal level, pretty tired now. The car is in pretty nice shape. All four wheels need to be refinished. Spent the day clay baring, polishing with the orbital to get rid of water spots. Then a coat of torque mirror shine. I think it came out nice. Touched up a few nicks with dr. Color Chip.

Certainly understand your AM "compulsion"
! That's a great find on your part! I'm really a British car guy and have restored several, including a 55 XK140 DHC and a Mk2 sedan, and have owned lots of others including a few e-Types, a 230SL and a 250SE. Still have a 2003 SL5400 and a 2006 CLS 500. Currently also have two XKRs - they were designed by Ian Callum who has some design responsibility for the Vantage, I think. Without doubt, the XKRs are strongest Jags I've driven - perfect docile until something more is required and then watch out - amazing torque, particularly on the XKR175!it isn't often you can another kick at the can. I was a bidder on the BAT auction for the 600CL but dropped off towards the end. Kicked myself after the auction close and then spent a month afterwards tracking every available post-2006 CL on the continent. Luckily saw an AutoTrader "coming soon" ad on Sunday night that didn't have a picture. However, the stated mileage gave it away and I moved fast on Monday morning! It's one of the most beautiful cars I know and I count myself lucky to own such a great example. Thank you again!
Best - Brian
