2007 CL550 Steering Issue
Hello guys I have a 2007 cl550 rwd, a couple of weeks ago my steering got really hard/slow (in low rpms 500-1000). This was caused because of my friends forcing me to drift my car. When it happened I was trying to brainstorm ideas and think of what went wrong, I came up to only 2 either my power steering pump went week or there was little fluid. Right as it happened I checked and my fluid was really low so I add more until the recommend amount but it still didn't work. My godfather is a MB mechanic at MB and during new years he took a quick look and said he doesn't think it is the pump. But then again it was a really quick look so he said its not 100%. Any advice will be apprenticed.

Okay my car isn't with me. I am going to ask my god father to check it out today and give me a update on it. Any ways I see from your profile you have a s65 can you send some pictures of it really looks nice and by any chance do you know how good/bad a cl63 would be on gas. I am considering on trading in my car in for one.

Yeah I know, my friends kept pushing me and pushing me to do it since they all got MB with 4matic. The funny thing is after it happened I yelled at my friends saying my car is from now on a Grandpa car only A to B no dumb stuff anymore.

That's really sad to hear that your car got totaled. Honestly a timeless machine how do you like the cl550 probably doens't live up to the s65 but is like 80% there I assume.

For me the CL is great. I rarely have passengers so the coupe format seems to fit best. I miss the power and the exclusivity of the S65 but for how I am driving right now the NA V8 fits the bill. Inside, it's just like any other S class.

The NA cars seem to be frowned up by most, but I'm happy I do not have the turbo. So much harder to work on, with more to go wrong. One shouldn't be punishing a 15 year old car, anyway.

Favourite garage is telling me to switch up to Premium, but it's probably another £10-12 per fill up,
Do have an oddity that motorway driving at 70mph can hit 24mpg+ but at 50mph it's down to 20mpg
