Big fan of the 547s but I don't know how they would look on a CL.

I think the type of brake package on your CL would determine the overall effectiveness.

I had posted these on another thread & actually considering 547R's myself. This is probably one of the best aesthetic examples of HRE 547R's & big brakes on a CL.

Please do. Looking forward to it. "IF" I decide to replace the Monolites, which I'm not sure that I will do, I'm thinking 547R's or the 800 series. I like the new competition wheel line by HRE, but I have received feedback that suggest the competition line is not constructed rigid enough for the size of the CL.

I second that. 547R would be the cleanest.

3-6 weeks to get the HRE 547R I guess they are worth the wait ...

I am waiting for the Renntech Dealer in Houston to schedule a pickup of my car to do the Renntech Performance Package 3 .. dont think that the CF Air Box is worth the extra 3K that pays for 2 wheels at least ..

the choice is do I go with Monolites or 547R .. pretty close to the same price ...

???

I think that I would avoid HRE's based on the following:
Quality problems

and

Handling problems in rain

Of course, YMMMV!
You can find detractors for every product, but the barrel construction/rain handling seems an issue.
