Odd question.

A friend of mine stopped by today and I couldn't help but notice the odd scent his car had, now I have noticed this not just in his car, but every CL that I have stepped foot in, but this is the fourth car I have noticed this in so I seem to think it is common, but does anyone else own a CL with regular miles that smells like pot? Just curious as I've noticed this many times.

I grabbed some shots too!

Boy...that Porsche looks great bro. Just made me regret buying a CL. Yup... mine smells weird too (pot smell?....aaaaahhh not really maybe some expired bad pot.)

Thank you, I appreciate your comment. It seems that anytime I mention it to someone they have no idea what I'm talking about, I guess you'd just get used to it over time.

I know exactly what you are talking about. That was my biggest complaint about the mine. From the day I drove it off the showroom floor, till the day I traded it in, all 3.5 years, it had that distinctive foul smell.
I even brought it to the dealer and complained about it, and while I was there, got into another one on the floor, and sure enough, there is was.
Sometimes the smell is faint, and other times it is pretty strong.
I does smell a little Skunky (for those of you that are familiar with a little cron).
Neither of my SL55, or SLK55 has that smell. I think it has to do with the Nappa leather used in the CL.

I have an 02 but it does NOT have the POT smell at all. It smells normal like my E55...

Are you sure no one smoke some hash in your car? Did you buy it brand new?

in my car, the weed smell comes out whenever i am making a wide right turn

around a corner. it comes from the steering wheel column and it makes itself known only at that precise turn from peachtree industrial blvd and medlock bridge road, right before i get to work. i thought it was an advanced feature on my luxury coupe...to calm me with a small dose cannabis sativa before the oncoming stressful day at the office. i should not have read this thread because for a while it was nice to know that german engineers have thought of everything .

I just got an 05 CL65 today.....EXACT same issue....kinda skunky...gonna see if some leather lotion helps any. The smell in my 03 S600 was about 10% as strong.

you sure it's not the guys in your local dealer's service dept?

seriously, though, those two cars are ridiculously beautiful. they define the essence of two-door motoring. i'm going to get into trouble... i've really fallen head over heels in love with the "new" (non-kidney-headlight) porsche cars, including that little frog-looking cayman coupe. i shouldn't even be thinking about stuff like that!!!
