All,
I just picked an 03 Mocha Black CL55 off eBay and I need some advice;
Do you guys recommend any car shipping companies? I need to ship the car from Montgomery, AL to the Los Angeles area.
The car has the propertiry built-in phone; any recommendations for a bluetooth kit? Also, is there an iPod kit which integrates in the command system?
The car has a little over 37K miles on it and it has most options and here are some pix
Please accept my apology if these questions were answered in the past.

Can't help with the shipping company.
You need to know what phone it has. If it's the V60i/s, you can pop it out and pop in the Bluetooth puck from AWS (MB business partner).
http://www.wireless4mb.com/
The site also lists the Bluetooth phones that have been certified to work with the puck.
The iPod integration kit is for 2004 and later. The fiber optic network in the car was changed from one standard (DB2) to another (MOST) then. Even the MOST version doesn't integrate with the bus enough for COMAND to show the track information; it only shows up on the dash display. There may be some aftermarket (Denison?) product that can be fit, but the 2003 COMAND is an odd duck. The 2004 version was a new version while 2003 got an interim facelift that upgraded the 2002 and earlier CD nav to DVD but left the rest alone.
But the car is wonderful and the Designo trim is beautiful. Enjoy!

Don't lower it. AMG's practicality is what makes them great and you don't want to have to fit a new bumper each time you pull into Rite Aid.
Great CL by the way. That's quite a step up from your last car. Congrtas, I bet you're excited

Thank you all for your feedback; I do believe that the phone is the v60. I am posting a picture of it here.
My signature is outdated; the CL will replace my current 04 Audi 2.7T S-Line (I hate the turbo lag) which I will be giving back to Audi in December.

Before you get the Bluetooth puck, consider an alternative. Activate the V60s and have it forward to your mobile phone when it's not on. Use the V60 as your main number. (You can swap the numbers if you want to give out your current mobile number.)
This will only work if your cellphone company supports the V60s (that may be Verizon only). The advantage is better reception (through the external antenna and amplifier) and not having to spend the bucks on the puck. Most plans cost $10/month for another phone, which will take you almost three years to break even with the puck.

Never mind. That looks like a V60i, not a V60s. It can't be reactivated because it's not 911-ready. Assuming that's the case, the puck is your best option.
I think the V60s (for "speakerphone") came in 2004.

By the way, what did you pay for the CL55? Did it have a warranty?

The car is still under factory warranty which will expire in July of 07. I will try to buy extended warranty before the factory warranty is over. I won the bid for this car for $50K which sounded like a good deal especially that this car has most options including Keyless Go, Distronic, Parktronic, Designo, etc.
