CL600 10.5 inch rear

can an 05 cl600 take a 19x10.5 inch rear wheel without rubbing? My ride isnt lowered but im thinking about the renntech ELM. ON BBS website they have a 20x10.5 listed for CL55 not CL600, is that because the fenders are rolled from the factory?

I got 20x10.5's on my 65 and I hear its harder to put an aggressive offset on the 65 due to the longer spindle. I have the Renntech ELM and it rubs every so slightly on high speed undulations. I usually drive it on the 2nd lowest level on the front (module) and lowest setting in the rear (module) and one light on (level 2) with the ABC inside. With this setting I dont rub- only when its the lowest setting on the ABC. I hope this makes sense.

So with that being said, I think you can put it on the 600 and actually get a bigger lip than what I have. You also should be able to drop it nicely too.

sure you can run 10.5x19. I'm running 20x11 however I can't use the 305 size tire as recommended so I went with 295/25/20. Forgot the offset, but I think around 37 on the rear. No rubbing whatever until I hit the freeway over 60mph (lowered automatically) and sometimes it rubbed when hitting freeway 'bumps' whatever they call it when u feel a little lifted from road unevenness.

Other than that, I can simply go for second level on the ABC when I want to go high speed. Again only when going 60mph, never at normal speed anywhere not even bumpy roads. My next tire change, I'm going for 285/30/20 and surely it will solve the problem

hope that helps.

oh by the way, also note some tires are more rounded towards the outer wall, just as I love them on my Michelin PS2s. Some squarish wall are the ContiSport2, and older P-zero system. But the P-zero Nero are also great. I won't consider other tires, period.

3.5 out hoop, so about 2-3/4" lip on the rear.. I really hate the W215's rear high offset. On a friend's SL he had 4" lip on the same 11", heck even W211 has lower offset but not as crazy as CLS as I've personally saw 20x12 rear.

BUT.,... here's the big But, I think to be safe or no rubbing 10.5" would be the maximum you can afford, as 11 will rub as mentioned above 60mph, and rolled fenders of course.

I kinda like the 4" lip on rear and 3" on front, a member has some pics here

https://mbworld.org/forums/cl-class-w215/138281-finally-my-600-unleashed.html

he had 9 1/2 x 20, front; 10 X 20, rear with 3" and 4" lip

I emailed him to see what offset he had but no response yet. I am gonna order some new wheels soon just tring to zero in on specs.
