CL600 1/4 mile incar videos

Track prep at MIR was amazing. I left waaaay to soft but still got some of my best 60ft. times at this track so far.
I only did 2 runs because it was packed.
I sandwiched my camera between the headrest so you guys could take a lil ride with me

Awesome runs/car!

Not that you are looking for/need my advice...

I noticed you left on green both times (hence the .5xxx and .7xxx R/T's) .

They say to acutally start on the last yellow (I have only been to the strip once, have a 12.3 car, and am no expert on drag racing) and had R'T's in the .1xx and 2xx range.

I just stand in awe of the V12. I'm over the 20K mark with mods on mine and you think I could run even close to those #'s.

thanks for the kind words. I dont go to the track to "race" per se, im really there to figure out best launch RPM and just to test various mods. I dont get to much into the "racing" aspesct of it but use it more as a test bed and a place to legally have fun

thanks for the nice words, coming from you thats a compliment indeed....no immediate plans other then some intake work and maybe some more exhaust tweaks. The limitation on mods for this specific application is the tranny/space/ ECU tuning. Once we have real ECU tuning in the mercedes world we will see some faster cars.

Jason...great runs. Nice to see the great 60' times. Looks like a launch at about 2K on the vids. Even with the warmer air your car was flying.

hey man, i put down a 1.60 flat at capitol but couldnt break 121's in bad heat a week ago....looking forward to the fall

Very impressive times!! You and I have the same car, but I doubt I can get such good times. My car seems to accelerate similiar to yours (in the video), but I think I'd have a problem with the launch. My 60' times would be more like 2.00. I can't launch my car for ****!

The trick looks to be running in dyno mode and preloading the torque converter just before launch. Thanks for sharing your technique.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wish you could have raced Ben and his 911 tonight, you guys ran near identical times 3000 miles apart. Thanks for the inside look. Your car is simply a stunner of a runner. I bet you shock alot of people. Great runs as usual .

Great runs Jay. The first vid is more exciting than the second because there is a target in the picture.

Dyno mode, right? I can't quite read the speedo.

I agree 100% on the idea of "real tuning". I'm sure that I could pick up 20 to 30 hp/tq with a flash but I have to wonder what a line by line code review do unleash.

Did you ever post a drive by of your exhaust note?

he has a stronger MPH, 127 is STRONG. I do shock some people but they are getting to know my car now, i seemed to have gotten kicked off of two tracks lately, so yeah its shocking in the wrong way sometimes

Thanks Mike!! Yeah dyno mode always, this was with my digital camera not a camcorder so the quality is crappy. And that answers that last question, i tried to record it but you cannot hear it through the crappy mic for some reason.

Congrats Jason. I fully agree with you on the tuning issue, I want more boost! So I sent a email to Cory to see what he can do .
Anyways, I was talking to my friend that was on the bike today. He kept sayin "holy **** that car was fast!" Was that your first bike kill? Good times man, I'll rent out MIR in the fall and alot of records will fall!
