CL65 40th Anniversary Edition Alubeam Paint
Wait until the car rolls onto showroom floors-- mark-ups will be ridiculous.

they are probably trying to make this anniversary car exclusive and noteworthy, unlike the 50th anniversary sl550 which came out a year ago. as for the price, its all just for the title as THE "anniversary cl65 amg". fork over money, they give you the title.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I hope they lose there *** as they've done on all there over priced models..-
Hell I just saw a 2005 CL65 on Autotrader for $65k now that's funny, & I'll buy 1 next year
& yes it had 60,000 miles or so on it, so what you can still get warranty up to 100k-I figure by next year or so I can snag 1 w/40k miles for about $50k
albeit the pre-facelift CL65

Mercedes, like many mass-producing car manufacturers, did not want to committ any more $$$ to develop some truly special features for the 40th annniversary. I wonder what the true cost of the car is and how much the dealers are making!
When one spends $300K on a car (+ tax & license) one expects, quality, engineering, power, luxury and exclusivity.
Not just a different paint job.
The last sentence says it all.
Here is the press release for the CL65 40th Anniversary Edition, hope this
helps.
Part of what AMG does best is produce special editions for Mercedes-Benz,
and AMG’s newest, ultimate-est CL65 AMG provides the basis for one of its
most decadent special editions yet: the CL65 AMG 40th Anniversary Edition.
It was built to celebrate—take a wild guess, guys—AMG’s 40th anniversary.
Forty of these super-special CL65s will be made, each gussied up with the
expected special-edition interior bits, which at the CL65’s price point go
beyond different floor mats. Inside, it features every available CL comfort
option, genuine carbon-fiber trim, and a smattering of “V-12” and “40th
Anniversary” badges and embossments, including an etched metal “One out of
40” badge on the palm-rest of the COMAND controller that ought to make
using the nav(igation) a delightful experience if the brute has been
sitting in the sun on a hot day.
As you may already know, all 40 of these vehicle were sold before they were
produced.
I must say, in daylight it does not look all that different from iridium silver. Only under direct sunlight the paint really shines.

By the way, the car says "ONE OUT OF 40". I am not sure if that means it is #1 of 40 or it just means that its simply one out of the 40 produced. Will confirm later...
Anyways, here are the pictures. Enjoy... I know I did when I drove her!

I'll be REAL suprised if someone buys this soon.
I still can't believe they are charging 100k for "liquid metal paint"
At least it has the 'nicer' double spoke wheels.

$100k for a paint job is insane!!
