Nav updated for a 2008 CL63??

Anyone with an early built CL63 get the latest nav update that includes the new nav features? I had no luck with my dealer have another dealer checking right now.

Birds eye view, real time traffic, dvd playback.. I picked up my car in May so I'm missing these features.

OK. Yup, I have those features.

The real time traffic feature is especially helpful.

Congrats, Barolo....

Have several colleagues who live/work in SF/SiliconValley who drive CL63 030's....and are similarly addicted to their CL63s (all are already on their second copy; some waiting for their third....they seem to really enjoy new CL63s)....

And we each passed on trading our CL63 030 for our ordered '08 CL65 after a quick test drive....

Interestingly, they each also own/had owned 599s.....another phenomenal car....

CL63 030 is an incredibly safe; precise/enjoyable-to-drive; tech-intense; "eco-friendly" V8-powered (no extravagant V12) commuter/wkend car of choice....

Hi Barolo...

I am in Los Altos Hills.

I traded a CL65 for the 08 CL63. I love the 63. Handles better, sounds better, has all the new bells and whistles. Much sportier. Has a higher resale value, etc. etc.

Have had no problems with it yet. About 4000 miles on it now. Took it for a 2 week roadtrip right after purchase and no issues with it at all.

But, I do miss the massive torque that the 65 had at low rpms.

Hope yours turns out well. I think MB has finally regained their quality mentality after having lost it for a while.

The car is probably the best Mercedes I have owned in the past 20 years. If I didn't own one I probably wouldn't believe the reviews. It is rock solid with an engine that is "to die for", with an exhaust sound to match. It handles like it's on rails and amazingly, everything still works as it's supposed to work at nearly 7000 miles. On the down side, the leather is a little too coarse for my taste and the low end torque is lacking. I find myself using the paddles to keep the rpms up, while I manage to keep the gas mileage "in the tank", at about 11-12 mpg.

Back to the thread - My car was delivered 5/30 and as an early model I missed the birds-eye, traffic etc software. My "service" dealer has been unable to get the proper/correct update, but since it's not my primary dealer, I have been laid back in pursuing it. They seem to want to be helpful, and I have have certainly offered to pay, but they just can't seem to get the correct software to work properly.

MBZFAN55,

Sorry for being off-topic, but have you ever considered exchanging the black plasic-part in the rear-bumper with the Carbon?

I ordered a Majestic Black CL63 with Grey interior and 030/Carbon trim for April delivery and have already contacted some sources in Germany to get the necessary parts (Left/right mirror housings, deflectors on the front bumper left and right and the filling of the rear bumper in Carbon).

These parts are available in Germany as Option Code 773 (AMG Exterior Carbon Package). BTW, the filling that replaces the - IMO- ugly black plastic in the rear bumber is the same as the one that comes standard on the CL65 40th Anniversary Edition - just in case you want to see some pictures.

I'll keep you folks updated as soon as I get news on parts, prices and availability. The filling for the rear-bumper should already be available since it's standard on that particular CL65.
