Just got this in today...man it's a beautiful car...already had the sticker off, but MSRP of $209,870.

IMO, about as fugly as one could spec CL65....perhaps Designo should label it as the "Rapper/Ricer Wannabe" edition....or Saks edition....or WalMart edition....appeals to many diverse groups....

I'm not crazy about the quilted leather either. It looks too "diner." I also can't imagine owning a 65 with a wood steering wheel. If your hands aren't sweaty you're not driving it right. And leather grips so much better.

I love the porcelain/piano lacquer interior, but not for an AMG. Elegance and badass tend to cancel out. It's why I find it offensive that piano lacquer was made part of the S63-030 "performance" package. AMG is doing so much right these days, but they should stay focussed on performance.

That's exactly what MB USA told me when I called them and asked why designo and the 030-package can't be combined - neither on the S63 nor the CL63 - in other words, of course..

Deciding between the 030-package and designo was a no-brainer for me...

There is nothing sporty about a CL65. It's a luxury rocket and the interior is fitting.
