2005 cl 65
I am new to this forum but have enjoyed reading it this morning. I just bought a 2005 cl 65 coming from a 2007M5. I am wondering if anybody can give me any insight as to which ECU and TCU upgrade I should purchase. I have looked at Renntech, Kleeman, and Evotech. Which is better. I have head that Evotech acutally did the programming for Renntech in the past. But when comparing the HP and torque claims the Renntech seems to offer more. Has anybody performed these on thier vehicle? What kind of difference can I expect performance wise? Any proven stats on 0-60? 1/4 mile?
Post pics of your car so you don't get banned ... just kidding about the ban, kinda'.
Have you given any thought to keeping the car stock for a while?
The reason I ask is that I've got a 55 with only 450rwhp and 530tq and I can hardly keep the wheels from spinning when I get on it.
You may find that the 65 is close to the very edge right now for usable power.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying you ever have enough power, just that you might want to get to know what you have, before tweaking.

Yes, I think EvoTech used to perform all the tuning for RennTech but no they have split (I don't know why?
).Both companies are great and have great customer service...

Evotech will be your best deal. Talk with Adam at Euroelites. He will put Oliver (who wrote the book on tuning a Mercedes) to work on your modules and get them just right. Congrats on your 65. I'm jealous. Now we need pix
