Mercedes CL55 AMG - S600 - S500 - E500

Mercedes CL55 AMG - CL500 CL600 Wiring Diagram, Instrument cluster fuse, Fuse chart

Hi, does any one have or know where I can get a CL class or Mercedes CL55 AMG - CL500 CL600 Wiring Diagram, Instrument cluster fuse location or Fuse chart.

The instrument cluster has disapeared and the steering wheel buttons are not responding. I think and hope it's the fuse but my fuse diagram is missing. Just wondered if anyone has had the same problem or could email me the FUSE CHART - ducatti998@hotmail.com .

ps. I have speaker crackle from the centre speaker wether the Radio is switched on or off. Any idea's?

Forgot to say. 2000 - 2003 model cars.

Also does anyone know how to reset the SAT NAV Command system. It's got me in the wrong location.

Mercedes CL55 AMG - S600 - S500 - E500

2002 Cl55 Amg

It's a - 2002 CL55 AMG, 58,000 miles - older pre-facelift version, NON supercharged / Kempressor. But I would think the basic wiring, fuses are the same on all the CL range from 1999 to 2003 even the face lift 2003 onwards Kompressor version I think will be very similar, if not the same.

instrument fuses

For the CL500 up to the build date of 8/31/02 the instrument fuses are located in the fuse and relay box in the left engine compartment. They are numbered 20,21, & 22.

I'm 100% sure that your instrument is GONE !! There's a recalled on it. Ask the dealer to check your VIN # to see if it fall under the recalled lists. Even if your VIN # is not under the recalled lists. Ask them to check into the "manufacturer warranty" and it should be warranty for 10 yrs and unlimited mileages. Don't get confused with Mercedes warranty. If no one from the dealer can help you then call NA Mercedes and they'll call the dealer to fix it for you under manafacturer warranty. Mercedes CL55 AMG - S600 - S500 - E500

MERCEDES CL - S CLASS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILERS CL55 AMG 500 600 etc

Hi have sent the car to Mercedes In the UK England. It has gone to the Birmingham Dealership in the Midlands. They have investigated and tell me the instrument cluster is "kaput" and needs replacing. £3,300 UK English Pounds Sterling - OVER $6,500 Dollars US.

They tell me it is not covered under warranty or included in the recalls I've been told about on here. Basically, If I want it fixed I have to PAY !

This is a well know and very common fault, but still they won't replace it unless I pay !

I'm shocked, even though it is the exact fault stated in the Mercedes letter and the recall bulletin and the fact that it is a "safety recall" No: 2006080004

They are obviously not so bothered about our safety in England.

Some dealer don't care and just like mine dealer. My dealer even told me that they called North America Mercedes about my problems and Mercedes refused to fixed it under warranty. That was FAULT !! I did all the calling and talking to North America Mercedes and they were gladly fixed it under manufacturer warranty even those my VIN# were not under the recall. Mercedes even told me that they were very surprised that the dealer does not know anything about cluster for the S and CL class is under manufacturer for 10 yrs unlimited mileages. After talking to Mercedes, they told me that they will personally call the dealer director and have a talk with him. I personally think my dealer were try to collect money for the repair on both parties (customer and Mercedes). So words of advices, call Mercedes yourself.
