Evotech CL65 dyno result

Remember Evotech CL65 vs Evosport M6 show down? Well, we finally dynoed the both cars side by side at the same place on a same day. The dyno shop was Powertrain Dynamics located right next to the evosport in Huntington Beach. The owner Steve is a great guy and I found that he does most of the dynos for Vadim@VRP. When we got there Vadim@VRP was testing modded E55 and that car was putting down 508 at the wheels. and had great exhaust sound. Vadim helped dyno the CL and even logged the data for me. what a great guy!! There were many people from this forum speculated the evotech M6 had unusually high number (476whp) and concerned about the recently tuned CL65 by evotech. The below number shows that the previous M6's 476whp was SAE uncorrected number and the power gain for the Evotech ECU/TCU tuned CL65 was just about right. They've seen many ECU tuned 65 cars leaning out (13.0+) but my 65 AFR was right on the money and Steve and Vadim seemed very impressed by the both AFR and whp numbers. I know this isn't awesome number nor anything to brag about but I am happy with the result and most of all I am very satisfied the way the car runs.

Evotech CL65
SAE uncorrected: 559whp
SAE corrected: 540whp
AFR: 12.0-11.5

Evosport M6
SAE uncorrected: 472whp
SAE corrected: 456whp
AFR: 13.0-12.0

As for the torque numbers, we didn't get the exact numbers due to all the dyno pulls were done 3500rpm and up. I will try to post the dyno charts and videos. Lastly I want to thank Adam@Evotech for the tuning and great service.

Hey Gregory!

It was a pleasure to meet you!

I love your color combo - white with beige interior. Very clean.

I believe your CL made 595 RWTQ and 540RWHP in SAE.

A/F was good at high11s and IC pump was working fine.

Enjoy the car!

Its impossible for you to make 711rwtq when stock CL65 is only rated at 738lb-ft torque at the crank.

Actually at 595rwtq after ECU tune is pretty low. The 600's and the 65's make roughly the same RWTQ when modified but the 65 should make about 25+ more RWHP

It is amazing how the "impossible" became not only possible...but probable given the explanation. I think (this is how you state an opinion) some people should give a veteran Board member with exceptional posts and information the benefit of the doubt and ask questions first before making grandiose statements.

I have no idea what a CL65 should have HP wise but 560 HP seems good to me.
was the E55 you seen white? honestly how did you like the rims?

is there a formula to determine how much a 55 amg engine will lose for every rise in temperature ? say it makes 480rwhp at 60degrees then how much should it make at 70 degrees if all other factors are the same at 60 degrees?

Wow, those are some dyno numbers...somehow the 610 at the wheels renntech S65 are uncorrected numbers. Anybody knows what they are corrected, seems healthy as an Ox. The AFR seems to be in the 12's, shouldn't they drop to the 11's to be in the safe side....?
