Hi,
I've decided to sell my CL65. Here are two links to pictures:

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...58#post2365958

I bought the car about 6 months ago. I'm the second owner. The car is Pewter Silver, fully loaded including distronic, has 19,7xx miles, and the in service date is 2/4/2006. No satellite radio module but it can be installed. I purchased 20" chrome 360 Forged wheels and Yokohama S-Drive tires about 2-3 months ago. They are in perfect condition and no curb rash. I also added a Gateway 500 I-pod integration system. I'm asking 76K. Thanks. E-mail or P-mail me for any other questions.

Who would have thought. I truly had good intentions of keeping the CL for at least 2+ years. I finally drove a Z06 and I'm hooked. I use to have an 03 Z06 and I loved it but I got sick of driving stick in heavy traffic. I live very close to where I work now so that won't be an issue and I have an Infiniti Fx 35 for family use so what the heck. I miss loud exhaust note and glue like handling plus the new leather package on the 08 Z06 is pretty darn nice. It has a full leather dash, seats, and doors. It's really pretty nice and the performance is amazing even in a straight line.

Hey, don't you want a CL65. I know you want to find a better deal. The CL is a great car I just want something more involving.

Larry, we have been talking for a while now and I feel you on dumping this car. Its a beast but for some reason it just never connected with myself and I can see it hasnt really with you also.

I wish you luck but I want you to be realistic as I was. This car is the softest car in the market based on original cost/msrp. I sold mine in January with only 10k miles and there was enough bath water to keep me clean for a year....

I had to pay to get out of mine---- I hope you are more fortunate than I am and wish you well. The Z06 will make it all the worth while.

I hear what you are saying and I appreciate the advice. I figured that I bought the car for 85K just six months ago and put new forged wheels, tires and and I-pod integration. I've put on under 4K miles and the car has warranty till 2/2010. The car is truly mint and anyone who wants a well maintained excellent condition CL65 then this is the one. I know what the auction prices are and I see what they are going for on ebay and the autotrader. Many have early in service dates with warranty almost up, many more miles, and appear to be beat on. I don't think I am being unreasonable with the price but we will see. Obviously if I can't sell it then I either keep it or drop the price.

Thanks again.

Well I wish you luck, I too had a more recent in service date (08/2006) and that does help a little.

hmmmm... I too am thinking about letting the car go for the same reason what Vic55 have said. can't seem to connected to the car... By all means this is the best gt cruiser I've ever driven to date but I guess I want something more engaging... and worst of all, my wifey prefers to drive the SUV over CL because of the elevated seating position . May be we are still too young for the luxury gt like the CL65 yet ?? Like I said, I'm still thinking about it but no good offer will be refused.

From what I've read a regular C6 is a totally different ride and feel compared to the Z06. Reviews of people who have had both cars say the Z06 is a comfortable daily driver but an absolute monster in straight line speed and handling.

I miss a tight handling car and the CL just doesn't have that. It's actually not suppose to as it's a grand turismo with amazing comfort, interior quality, and massive power. It just depends on what you want and I miss the grunt quality of a true sports car.

I almost decided to keep the car so you wouldn't get mad at me.

So far I've had a 2003 CL55, 2005 SL600, 2006 S65, and 2005 CL65. I'm kind of Mercedes-ed out right now and I feel it is time for a change. I'm definitely staying on the forum as I still consider myself a Mercedes enthusiast and I truly enjoy corresponding with all you guys. This is a great forum and all the online friendships I have made are meaningful (I just got a tear). Anyway, I'm sure I'll own a Mercedes again in the future as the AMG's are hard to stay away from. Thanks for the kind words.
