ahh you know what? That thing was listed as a CL55, which I now see it's not. No V8 Kompressor badges.

Actually, it still could be a CL55. You will notice that the rear tail lights are the pre-2003 ones (larger and less horizontal red and white lights). The 2001-2002 CL55 did not have a supercharger and thus no "V8 Kompressor" badging.

Maybe all of us have been duped.
Remember the incident in China where a guy literally used a bat to hammer the crap out of his new BMW because it was such a lemon?
God knows, the guy probably thought the trench was a better home to the CL than the service bay. He could be one smart fellow!
But still, I love my CL very much.

That reminds me of an old issue of Road & Track, in their PS section.
There was a similar shot of a Ferrari Boxer that was in the same predicament. The driver was standing by the side of the road, and it had a caption like.... "As Bob thought about it, he said.... Good tires, yes! Great tires, no!"

Just bc there are no badges doesn't mean it's not a 55... I took ALL badging off of my car. Looks WAY sweeter! I can post pics if you guys wanna see what it looks like with some minor modifications....... :O)
