'03 CL55 issue (whining noise / steering wheel vibration)
A whining noise with a slight steering wheel vibration that is present at very low speeds could be attributed to what?
Anyone experience this? My guess would be initial signs of ABC pump going bad. If thats the case, what would the dealership charge for a fix? Thanks guys.

Thats the dreaded ABC pump impeller your feeling.
My CL500 did exactly the same thing. You can hear it whining with
rpm matching and a slight vibration in the wheel.
Get it to the dealer pronto. If it fails it will slam your car and cause
even more greif.
Hope you have warranty. Or your looking at about $ 3000.00 with the labor.
I think the pump is like $ 2400.00 with discount. List is $ 2900.00
Bummer.

As a matter of fact, I was. There was some hydraulic fluid left but nowhere near enough to be within tolerance on dipstick. Besides an obvious leak, what else would cause the fluid to be wasted like that?
Now that I toped it off I'll monitor for any leaks.

I don't know, but I'm in the same boat. Will be looking for leaks later today.

brakes, I got this whiny sound and vibration in the stirring wheel... It seems to only happen when I brake hard. Then it went away for a few minutes. I am going to go and get it checked.
