Naaahhh, too much trouble. The headers were 700+ install labor, the pulley would only bring 5 to 700.

There's no market for high end cars right now. Thankfully I'm not forced to sell.

Probably an SL55 ... if that fails, I may bite the bullet and go hard core with the CLK Black Series.
Either way, I'll still be looking at your tail lights at MIR.

I was going to part with my 05 CL65 but decided to keep it after taking a test drive in a SL65. The CL is so comfortable and roomy in the drivers seat that you may be disappointed with the SL55. I use to have an 05 SL600 and I remembered what I didn't like about it when I test drove the SL65. My right knee would rest against the console and after a while it would get sore. You don't realize this at first because it doesn't get uncomfortable immediately but it does get annoying. I say go for the CLK Black but make sure you test drive it first. It is hard to compare seating comfort compared to the 215 CL class. Just an FYI and my opinion. Good luck with the sale. I'll keep an eye out for anyone looking for a good used AMG.

Thanks for the scouting Larry.

I understand exactly what you mean about the comfort seating. Then there's the issue of ingress and egress from the 4" lower SL seat.

I did drive the Black Series and was amazed by it. I'm just not sure that I want to go back to driving aggressively every minute that I'm behind the wheel.
The 911TT I traded for the CL55 always had me on the edge of my seat ready to go. Maybe that not a bad thing either but the CL reduces that edgy feeling. The other factor in the BS is that I'm not often able to use the incredible handling on these straight and wide Dallas roads that I travel.
Mike
