Custom Exhaust on the CL55 **Vid!**

sounds like a V8 Komp to me. What exactly is custom about this exhaust? Did you do your own piping? Are the mufflers/tips name brand? Why did you decide against the available aftermarket options such as eisenmann/carlsson/brabus ect? Just curious since I recently purchased an eisenmann race setup and am awaiting delivery. Thanks for your info.

yea sorry guys, forgot to mention it is a 55K!! supercharged!
and to answer ur Q's testdriverNJ...i didn't even find a site that sold an aftermarket exhaust for this car, and kind of just leaned towards custom anyway...and by custom, its basically straight pipes from the headers to the mufflers (which are still stock)..im pretty sure its also much cheaper? i enjoy the sound and am very happy with the results!!

sounds wicked..... i took off the mufflers of my cl55 and it sounded like a damn nascar when i floored it..... would have gotten arrested eventually cuz it sounded like i was racing doing 25 mph. Plus I couldn't hear the bluetooth. Put the magnaflows back on and it sounds good, but urs sounds like the perfect mix of raw and refined.... i like it.... just straight pipes with stock amg mufflers? I'm impressed. Good job

Not too shabby at all.... finally fixed my right magnaflow (was a little lower on the right side) and told the guy take out the resonators.... well he did, but they weren't resonators, they were cats! Guess i had 4... now i have 2... Oh well, a bit thoatier 4 sure, but not like urs... thought i might get a little closer tho (not looking forward to a smog in the future 
) Did u take the cats out of that thing? I assume u have the same 4 cat setup....

you took the cats and resonators off?? did you throw any type of codes and if so what did you do to get rid of them. i'm jealous of how mean that car sounds and want to do it asap!! thanks.

2005 C55
on my c55 i removed the resonator(replaced it with an x-pipe) and the mufflers and just run straight pipes. i have the secondary cats still in place. sounds mean as hell, only negative is the drone at about 2000rpm
