We have acquired a limited number of Original MB STAR Systems from the original manufacturer. Even if your MB dealer would sell you one (which they won't), it would cost upwards of $20K. We have them for a fraction of that cost.
It includes laptop, all connectors, and current STAR software. Don't be left to the mercy of what the dealer tells you... know for sure! PM or email for a price quote.

you realize that the chinese copied the star system multiplexer a while ago and are offering 100% functional for up to 09 model years for dirt cheap- right?
i am surprised that by now they have not copied the whole mercedes car lineup and sell it as geely over there

In my mind it is worth getting an OEM system, if you are going to do it. You spent allot of money on your car, why would you cheap out on a system like this? It's just false economy. The STAR system is not just a code reader from Checker. It is very involved and integral with the car's systems.

I also want to TRY to retrofit an SLK steering wheel with paddle shifters on my car. I haven't bought the steering wheel yet and details are sketchy whether it's even possible. Assuming it fits and the plugs match up, I'll still need the changes made in SDS to have the car recognize the paddles.
** FYI this is all for a 2006 W203 C350
