Grille mods...to blackout or not

In my constant quest to make my vehicles unique (like there's another CL65 AMG around here anyway )...Looking at V12Godspeed's black CL, I was playing with photoshop and looking at the different patterns I could do with the grille.

I could black out the grille completely, leaving the mercedes symbol in the middle....or I could black it out, but leave the chrome edges....

I would do this on a spare grille and put the stock grille on a shelf

opinions?

STOCK:

ALL BLACK:

BLACK, LEAVING THE CHROME EDGES:

I wouldn't touch it

Too rare and perfect. This car is destined to be collectible in time

haha should have known V12Godspeed would want all black

i'll photochop it

retardedmunk...i know its a rare collectible...thats why anything I do will be on a spare grille with the ability to put the stock back on at any time...i'm just playing with ideas...there is so little i'd want to change on this, but i've never been one to buy and not touch

Well if i was gonna do it

I would get a carbon fiber grill and keep the star chrome....

And then add a carbon fiber front lip to set it off.....

That would be the best look IMO

My CL65 is a UK car and does not have side markers.
You should paint yours the same colour as the car, it will look so much better.

i have seen the pics of cars without the side markers and i fully agree with you...they look soooo much better I'm not sure if it is legal here to get rid of them completely, but the least i'd do is make them clear instead of orange
