I was wondering if others have this issue. If I accelerate rapidly my sunroof shade doesn't stay shut, it opens about 1/4 of the way. Is this normal or can the dealer adjust the panel to make it a little harder to open?

That's hilarious! My shade does the same exact thing!

When the car was stock and if I floored it, the torque would pull the shade back a few inches. After I got the tune and a few other things done, the shade goes back a few inches farther now... great measurement of performance!

You only have too much power when it pulls something else back!!!

The sunroof opens all the way if you hit the gas pedal the "right" way!

Yes, me too. Thought I was going crazy when I first got the car until I realized it was just the ridiculous acceleration.

There are small plastic bushings that go on the end of the sliders for the sunshade. They are proabably broken if your shade is sliding during acceleration.

Funny how your perspective changes after the CL65. Drove our Boxster S yesterday and found myself thinking; underpowered. This vehicle is so much fun.

Then every 600/65 owner is experiencing the same broken part...

Maybe it’s time for you to go to a car expertise, like what you’ve said if you accelerate rapidly your sunroof shade doesn't stay shut, maybe there something from within.

Your dealer can fix it for you.

It is a small adjustment to be made.

That's right the only thing within is alot of power and torque. Nothing to fix

Reviving an old thread but I just took my CL65 to the race track and mine slid open at the front of the straightaway and closed when I got on the brakes hard in the braking zone.

What a fun car!

I like messing with people who haven't been in my car before. I tell them to look up and watch the sunshade. They don't expect the exceleration. I find it works best when I drop it to 2nd and am going about 30mph before I hit it...lol

Each time I leave my car at the dealer I make sure to fully close the sunroof shade, and each time I pick up the car the sunroof shade has slipped back
